Jim Lamatrice's yellow 56 looks to be lower than when he raced it. It also has had the wheels changed. He had it nosed and the hood bird removed and wanted Carter to put a lace paint job on it. Carter told him to get Earl Scheib to put primer and paint on it, then he would do the pearl paint with lace on it. After Jim got it painted by Scheib he said heck with the Carter paint job. The wheels were Astro chrome steelies on the rear and Fentons on the front.

Tommyd do you have any engine bay or interior shots in your vast collection? Be neat to see some of those. Thanks!

 

I would love to see what is left of it. I'm sure nothing could be restored, but it would be cool to see/have.
