I wasn't referring to the gentleman from LAW automotive.I mentioned the 58 delivery, after seeing the picture,as they are quite rare compared to the tri-5's.The silver delivery I looked at was in Townville,Pa. around 1970.The owner told me it was raced out of NY. before He bought it. I don't think he ever raced it.

As most of you already know, this is the view of 'Archie's' Hydrophobia that most competitors viewed!

Looks like, at this point, George was (still) too busy winning races to $pring for a new paint job

Tommy, This is a great shot!

I had the pleasure to drive (around the block) one of these brand new/yet to be sold 312/300HP supercharged Fords when I worked at a Ford dealership in '57 (RIGHT out of high school). I still remember the RUSH when the blower created that unexpected surge. No wonder Larry Walker (brazenly) named his blown racer "Legal Cheater."

Belair 409 thank you so much for the picture. That was my poppop Snook Jacksons car. Did you know Snook? I'm actually currently looking for some pictures of my grandmother Bernice Jackson. She also raced cars at Cecil county drag-o-way in the 60's and won quite a few trophies.

Luv this shot, illustrates just how much work went in to seriously campaigning a Junior Stocker.
Reminds me of a Saturday in 1967 when (during time trails) I lost a 'piece' of a ring-gear tooth in the 'traps' and the rear wheels momentarily locked up. I was by myself and ill prepared for that event, but I made do with hub cap drain pans and used soda-cup funnels to facilitate the removal of the errant chunk of ring-gear tooth. Won the class (cheesy trophy) but I did get a case of Kendall for runner-up in Jr Stock eliminator The Winner (a Duffy's-prepared delivery) got a $50.00 US savings bond OR a check for *$37.50. *FYI ... $37.50 in 1967 is equal to $262.40 TODAY!

All the Junior Stocker's that ran out of Duffy's shop always ran very well and usually won where ever they raced.
The list of drivers who ran out of that one shop is like a who's who of drag racing.

This thread just keeps getting better and better. Tons of history located right at your finger tips.
Back in the day this was the class along with Modified Production that everyone wanted to race in.

These cars put on one hell of a good show for years.
