In63-65 our F/S had a juice size tin can with coil of copper gas line filled with ice/water situated between the pump & carb in front of the radiator support The only rev limiter was you tack or your ear
never look that clean&nice in the day almost too
You're right, Bob. The Corvette is parked until they fix this mess they created.
I hear you Craig and dont blame you, shame cuz that is one sweet vette. I got two old hulks here but no interest in running nhra. Mite finish one and run IH as I think there are 5 tracks out here within 3 hrs or less and 1 in San Antonio.

Cool cans were the "trick" in the 60's. We used dry ice and rubbing alcohol and the fuel line would be "frosty"!! Here's the one in my '69 Dodge on the left as you look at the photo with JHR on top....
Attention Junior Stock restorers or tribute builders:
I have a NOS Moroso cool can that will be listed in the H.A.M.B. classifieds in the next coming week. It's the 1/2" hose version. Will come with a 6 foot length of Sheilds 1/2" fuel hose too. I just picked up a NOS 3/8" version, so it will need a good home.
Also to be listed will be a pair of 7.60 Stahl front cheater tires, and a pair 15x4.5" early AMC Rambler steel wheels. They have a 4.5" Ford, Mopar bolt pattern. These are mounted complete but will separate.
Giving you guys a heads up and will provide a link as soon as they're listed.

The Collector wagon didn't sell at auction. Went up to $72k but the reserve was not met.
Dad's birthday is actually Monday, I'm just getting him back on the boards right now... so he can speak directly through this account with you all.

Dad just said the White '67 Dart in the photo you posted, he bought back from the man he sold it to, and now has it fully refurbished! In the photo, it shows never had the stripe across the roof, and it now has the stripe and is ready to race this summer!
I'll have him post a photo.

You all probably already know this, but in the caption Mike Mancini should be Ron Mancini, who won super stock at that event.

As a "young 'un" with his first subscription to Hot Rod Magazine, I eagerly awaited each issue to see how Dave and the Charger did at the latest events. I guess it was the way the car looked that initially caught my attention, then the way Dave ran. Of course, when I caught a glimpse of Dave lined up against Judi in the Coronet, I was totally blown away! I've remained a fan over the years, always wondering "whatever happened to....".
I hope you have a terrific birthday, Dave! Know that this 10-year-old fan is now a gray beard, but still a huge fan!

I have the 1967 SS/EA Camaro back , completely restored, and race it at Martin once in a while just to turn racing fuel into noise. It's a pretty low pressure way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Larry Sokol is driving the car and still does a good job.
Ive been in touch with Barrie, talking up the good old days. He tells me the wagon started life as a 289 car they pulled of Sandy Elliotts lot.
A lot of work went into restoring that wagon.
