    Hi Butch
Its Kerp. Great pics of your cars. Good to see you and Tim at the
Pocono Drag Lodge Show. I will give you a call before the party at Conklins.

I remember the flower car. Koolest tow car you could have. Gold with black lace painting-those were the days!

Great idea-retro jr. stocks. Vintage bodies with jr stock appearing engines. Limit them to 7 inch tiires, slapper or ladder bars, steel 5-6 inch wides wheels on one axle or both, no trans brakes-line-locs only, no high dollar interiors, jr stock stripes on the roofs, fenderwell headers,no high dollar paint job and tons of decals on he side windows!

Dom ate people that size for lunch!
Another hint, Bezerko Bob used to call him "hit the button and run".
Car was a 428/360 HP. 4050 lbs of fun, ran 12.80's/108 MPH in good air with a stock converter.:D

    I am 6'3'-260lbs. I'll give you a hint. Take a look at page 175.

Thanks for the info, John! Can I represume the car was/is rare? Btw, what year is it? What does the name on the quarter panel say? Also, I believe this photo was taken at Island Dragway. What year?

    Thanks.

Nice to see all of the new faces that have joined the thread. Thanks to Bill and Pete and all of you guys for keeping this thread going. I saw Tim Worner's Nova in one of the pics that Sinistri posted and thought I would post this Bill Truby pic that was taken after the demise of Junior Stock. Keep up the great work!

The next two photos I know nothing about 'cept they were both taken at Island Dragway (Dom, do you know this guy?)...

...and the second picture features two early-1960s Mopars, a Dodge vs. Plymouth. I believe it says across both(!) doors on the car in the right lane: "Tha Boss." Can someone identify?

When the two Rod Shop Dodges were running, was there some angry racers because of the factory participation? It was a bit unfair for the "little guy" and I could see where there would be friction.

Here are a few of George Cureton's pictures. Don't like having to put the owner's name on the pictures but there are just too many thieves surfing the internet. Some of George's and Redman's pictures that I have posted have already shown up on a CD on Ebay. Here's Spider and Burkholder doing battle.

I fully understand, Bob, and don't mind just as long as the owner's name is not emblazoned across the center of the photograph like some people (for spite?) like to do!

The Voice of Drag Racing said:

"Was born & raised in Lansing, MI, home of the Chevair Racing Team and knew all its members.
Team captain was Dick Griffin who went from building Studillacs in the 50's, to Corvairs in the
60's and so was their mentor/coach."
