Got an old pal over here called Colin "shady" Lane. He's 72 & tours around the country with his y block powered altered.Once in a while I get together with a bottle of Jack & talk about the old days. He worked on the docks & got friendly with the American sailors & would get all the latest hot rod mags, which some of he still has, & get ideas for their projects Every thing was done on the side of the road, like his first chop & channel job & eventually got a garage. They formed the first hot rod club in Wellington called the "Chariotiers" & raised hell. Just cant get enough of those old stories,,Deadbeat
Hey say hello to Shady for me, He camps out beside us every year at the nostalgia drags , I'm a real cheeky shit (like he is) and I call him "Dad" ! he's a top bloke, when I 'grow up' I hope I'm just like him . Rod .

I got one here somewhere, but Clive may see this and post his ,he has some good shots of Wild Honey, which are on the HAMB ,try a search...........
Close, I did the deal on the engine with Matt, for friends of ours who picked it up from your place - hence the pics ( The black Nash in my workshop Album is Nics - I built the chassis) . Will dig out a photo of the linc sittin in Ed's coupe after work tonight. .
your not wrong I can remember it cruizing street of Dunedin in the sixties. I reckon the rebuild will involve a small block chev, if they want it to go fast again refit Y block or the flat motor
Hey deadbeat. Seen this somewhere just recently. How's it going anyway? Get home OK? Cheers Clive .............
