New zealand hambers...ouake

i woke up this morning and hear about a 7.0 quake in new zealand . Being on the hamb board alot , i know we have some members there.
hope everybody is ok & all those kool rides made it through .
may the force be with you guys .

 

Yeah, it was near Christchurch in the South Island, 7.4 magnitude.

 

hope all is well 7.5 by the net. thats a calif style Quake for sure

Looks pretty bad.

 

No fatalities as yet, but some serious injuries. Fortunately it happened at 4:35am, so most people were in bed. I heard some folks actually got thrown out of bed. Quite a lot of old brick buildings in Christchurch, so there will be quite a lot of damage.
Cooon and I live in the same town, which was flattened by a 7.8 back in 1931. I guess that's why we get called The Shakey Isles.
