I remember going to the custom car show at the New York Coliseum back in the 60's and 70's, there were some unbelievable cars there. I have been searching the internet for a old pictures or flyers but unable to find much, I did find this video if anyone has any picture or information it would be great to share them.

By looking at the sign on the floor by it, it looks like it says the psychadelic something. It's the only shot i've found of it and I was probably 10/12 years old and hard to remember 40 years later......Rich

Hi. My first post here, which is kind of funny since I check out the history of drag cars in motion thread everyday.
I have pics from the early 70's show which I will scan.
In the meantime, my memories are of the Blue Flame, Rambuctious, Prudhomme (white hot wheels car) and a four engine wagon.
Also, the guys from Adam 12 and Mission Impossible and a Penthouse Pet which was cool for a young teen.
Does anyone have photos from a show at the Westchester Colliseum that featured the Red Baron and the "Love Machine"?
BTW, I have a couple programs that where more like magazines from the shows. Very cool stuff.

Dad took us every year. Got to shake George Barris' hand once. That was THE east coast show, and I had a Dad who loved cars. How many floors was that, three? It was a huge show!

I attended in the mid to late 60's. I'm digging up some shots. Need to touch some up but here are a few un-edited from '66.

  26. This is a great thread. I was like 13 when I took the pics I posted.....never expecting to see some thread like this over 40 yrs later! Keep em coming. I don't know if I showed this, but it was a freebie at that show. It's a Baldwin/Motion catalogue/brochure.

I remember hoping on transit buses in Valley Stream at the age of 10,
no one ever gave a thought of whether you were going to make it home ,if you got confused you asked a bus driver, or some adult, and they would tell you what bus to get on. I have grandkids that age now, no way you could let them do that, such a shame, 47 yrs ago it was a much safer time.
