Just picked up on a 30 A four door all the wood needs changing and was wondering if any one has pics of a build where they used steal instead of the wood the wood kits are quite expencive and I have plenty access to steel. any help is appreciated.

  2. Steel is used quite often when the original wood is shot. Steel lasts much longer and is stronger.

Steal is the only way to go unless you are rebuild back to stock .
It really shouldn't be that hard as long as you can weld good . Remember , just be safe and make sure your welds are good and strong !
Sounds like you have a sweet winter project ! Remember to get some pictures and lots of them !
