    Not like I need another project ,Still have a long way to go on the hupp but we needed another ute .Just happened to come across this, 283 powerglide recently imported.paid the guy yesterday will pick it up on sunday. ill get more photo's when its coming home.

    just bought some 59 cadillac hub caps .going to try to keep it as a 1960 mild custom eventually new paint same colours just with a flake in the red thats about it right now.Im sure the list will grow very quickly

  6. Looks like you have a great start there. You're right, though, the wheels need to go. It looks like factory bed rails on there, although I can't see them clearly. Looking forward to additional pix, both the bring home and the update.

    yeah the bed rails were an option ,i believe as well as the overrider on the front bumper.Thanks guys I'm kind of beside myself right now.

    Nice Elky . I had a 68 SS a buncha years back that I'd always wished was a 59 :( .

    got it home sunday have been a bit busy since had the first breakdown today but a new dist cap overnighted and ill be driving on thurs. These are pics from when we went to check it out last week.

    Thats a Holden (?) Ute from GM Australia. We WERE going to get those as Pontiacs, but that went down the toilet along with Pontiac and American jobs.

    Thanks guys .The holden is now the wife's car My new daily will be the 59.Just need to go through the wiring I have already removed a mile of useless wiring from under the dash. just trying to get the gauges working now i'm taking it to it's first hotrod show on friday .

    Heres all the crap i have removed from under the dash the wiring is a little butchered but a bit better now. there was an automatic antenna under the bonnet just sitting there,old alarm system,clutch linkage and about 50 different wires going to nothing.Off to the show tomorrow it's a three hour drive and i haven't been around the block more than three times .Wish me luck.
