Hi everyone, I’m not new to cars, but am new to my new car, a ‘31 Model A Coupe. Just purchased it as a “drivers” quality car, and very happy with the purchase. This year I plan to get it on the road with minimal modifications, and really just enjoy it as is. Future plans involve a new chassis and engine, with the goal of building a traditional looking hot rod, full fendered, and thinking about a chop. Welcome.....from Virginia. Where are you in Mass. ? I grew up just north of Boston. My son's '31 model A is in my avatar (left).
Well.....small world!! I was born in Winchester, grew up in Stoneham (hot rods gathered at Dunkin Donuts), frequented Wakefield, cruised Rt 1 Saugus (Adventure Car Hop)........left in '68. Still have relatives in your area and visit often. If you need help building your Model A, there are lots of guys with them on this forum. My son and built his over 3 year span.......chopped 4", channeled 4", 302 SBC/Muncie M21, etc. Will be glad to help out if I can.
