    Hi everyone.
My name is Crash. I've always loved customizing and modifying vehicles, but never done a car. I recently bought my first classic, and I chose a 1951 Mercury four door. It is set to arrive this weekend. I'm very excited about this build. I will start a thread and post lots of photos once it arrives.

It's my understanding that a shoebox is a 2 door ford body style.
While I appreciate the compliment, this is a 4 door Mercury.

It's fine. Tell me what you like. I enjoy learning.
Being in Texas, you are aware that TX categorizes classics as being over 25 years old with a load rating under 10000lbs.
What is a "Special Interest" car, and how does it differ from a "Classic"? Can you please give me examples of both?

    Thank you.

  16. You may check with the Antique Auto Club for definations...It matters not what Texas calls them

Next time you jump on threads to correct people who need not be corrected, make sure you know a little about what you are saying. A quick look would have told you that my vehicle is specifically NOT a special interest car, and is not eligible to be classified as such.
As per the Antique Auto Club judges guidelines, please note the following:
