I thought about those... But they are just too common. I thought about vw snowflake tails too. But I think im gonna end up using 56 bel air tails.

How wide is that taillight pod? Would '49-'50 Ford taillights fit if you turned them vertical?

 

They'd probably fit decent. But my plans include some type of fins.

 

What suspension is on the car?

 

Bags... But they aren't on yet.

 

I'm happy with the 1/4s, but the trunk area is gonna need some work. I took the 4"s below the trunk. Which meant the top is about an inch or so more forward. So I'll work this area now. I'll let you know how it goes tonight.

 

Keep posting your progress. Lack of people's comments does not mean no one is looking. I look at lots of threads and that I have never commented on, either because the poster is really good and I have no questions, or others are asking what I want to know. I actually find it a pain when there is one progress report and 7 pages of encouragement. I think what you are doing is cool, and I'll follow along for the ride.

Your thread just had a "FEATURED" ribbon added to it so management must enjoy the build so far. Every time I stop by the HAMB I click on the far right red spot with the lightening bolt, that shows an Alert and lets me know someone added to a thread I'm following. Not many people take on a full sectioning, but I would think all the guys that have done a top chop on cars of this era would stop by to see your work. By the way is there a pot hole in front of your house and a VW dealership just up the street? Bob

When opening the HAMB list of threads, find yours, but before opening it, look to the right and it will show the number of views and how many replies. You'll be pleased with the 'views' number. (Currently.....1,973)
