Hey all, just wanted to say hello and show off a few pics of my latest. I've been out of the car game myself for some time, but always remained around it and have been looking to dive back in. I just found this, and it is the old story of a lot of luck, finding something hidden in a barn and good timing. She hasn't seen the sun in 25 years. IMG_2488.JPG IMG_2489.JPG IMG_2490.JPG

Wtf, why can't I find anything like that?

    Total score!

How much? How's the interior? Underside? Quarters?

I paid 1G for it. The interior has no tears in the seats, and they are decent enough that I don't have to replace them right away, and the headliner is damn near perfect. The underside looks amazing, the paint on the frame even still looks good. The body has no rot anywhere, even in the typical places. This car spent its entire life indoors since new. It was registered and driven from '58 until '94 and logged 86K miles in that time. Less than a year before it was parked the transmission was pulled and fully rebuilt, and I have hopes that it still works. It was driven into the barn when it was parked.

    With the hose:D

'59 Buicks are a favorite of mine, and the flat tops are one of the few 4 doors that I really like. I would love to see what this car would look like with a very thorough wash/buff/wax/detailing. The paint actually looks nice under all the dirt.

Where are you located? - plates on the car lead me to believe you found it in California. The car looks amazingly solid. I have always loved those big Buicks.

PS: You should really go back into your profile and add your location.

I'm in Santa Rosa Ca, about an hour north of SF. I found the car in Petaluma.

It looks like a sweet old original -- another vote for clean and detail only.

Congratulations! What a great find! Our next door neighbor when I was a kid had a silver '59 4 dr hdtp. He used to tell us he outran a tornado with it because it had a supercharger and would run 308 mph. We told him he was crazy (and he really was).
