"Oh, and they offered me $4K more than I asked for!"

That makes at least 4k into the Brookville fund each year.
I'd be making friends with them real quick on my lunch breaks. Maybe you can pick up a part time job there doing some I.T. work, etc. in trade for parts.

So all you need is for her to get a job next door to Neiman Marcus and you can have a big budget.

  7. Congrats on the new job - I was in IT for 29+ years and did just about everything at one time or another. I have to say that, as stressful as it was sometimes, I met a whole bunch of really, really nice folks. You get a few moments of gratification for a bunch of aggravation but the "thank yous" from the folks you service are priceless! I also loved it because it was always different, always changing - keeps the grey matter in tune, that's for sure ....

As for your location of work, I know where your Christmas club account and all your layaway plans will be! Good luck to you!

O.K., so you've been around here for maybe 5 months now? Read more than post, think more than complain, look at the history that gets posted, and eventually, you might "get it".

Besides, there is nothing wrong with well made, correctly shaped metal parts to replace missing or badly damaged parts. Or an all new metal body, if your wallet can handle it.

    Later, grasshopper, Kinky6

WOW! Congrats on securing the job you wanted.
Brookville has "Blue Light Special" the 3rd Monday of every month on Leap Year.

I was lucky, my job gave me enough O.T. to build 2 cars. Even though my wife made more money than me, I swore my car would get built with O.T. money and not our joint account. Thank god my cars were done before my wife got laid off.............

  13. Congratulations Lee.
