Hello, I have been lurking around the forums for 10+ years and finally joined last fall after buying a '34 Ford pickup project from my uncle's father-in-law's estate. Thank you to everyone for the immense amount of help you have been so far...the forums are a great resource for information. -NK
Welcome to the HAMB from a fellow Land of Lincolner, Nathan. I couldn't agree more about the forum being a great resource. It took me a minute to figure out, but awesome license plates! Mine are a little simpler, but work with my car: As you can see, it is a work in process. Have fun with your pickup project, it looks like it's off to a great start. Ed.
Thank you all for the warm welcome and compliments. HOTRODPRIMER: The current plan is to make the truck a safe/reliable fair-weather driver using as many of the existing parts as is practical. The previous owner owned a junkyard for several decades, so many of the suspension, steering, and brake components were "upgraded" with parts from other 1930's-1950s cars/trucks. It was also about 25% disassembled when I drug it home, so it has been a fun puzzle to piece back together. EDMAR'S GARAGE: You did better than most if you ciphered the plate. I have had the RUNVS tag on almost all of my cars and trucks since high school, changing only the #s. The one on the '34 is a leftover from my previous 1953 Customline (which was sold to fund this project...and was far to stock for my tastes).
Nathan. The plates on my '34 Ford (Outlaw Performance 'glass body) 3w coupe originally started out on my '57 Chevy just after high school. That car is long gone, but the plates live on with the coupe.
