Hello all, I am a newbi here , From the miserable state of CT,AKA the land of Yuppies and Taxes... figured it was about time I joined this board , I am normally found in the late 60s muscle car world but have heard of this site many times , even though I have had a pair of tri-5 Chebbies for a long time , But l Recently picked up a neat old 35 Dodge conv that was crudely hotrodded back in the 50s then torn apart in the late 60s and left untouched as an unfinished project hiding in a garage until I dragged it home a few months ago that now I have a worthy car to build and think it will be great to get some friendy advise or constructive critisizm as I go.... here are a few pics of the old bomb , when I dragged it home it had a 383 ,4SPD and a dana 60 rear in it, it ran but it was not well thought out to say the least, a good friend helped me box the frame and scratch built the motor mounts, X-member , and crossmembers over the last couple weeks in his spare time... I am going to put the car together as a typical 60s style hotrod with a tunnel rammed 440, 4spd it will be completely 1960s style as I do not like billet or modern electronic gadgets, hope to meet some new friends in the hot rod world as so far the people I have met have been great since I started on this car which is very refreshing after dealing with the Snobs in the Musclecar world for the last 20yrs...

Welcome from Wallingford. The state of CT is not so bad theres a lot of real back yard Hot Rodders here. Looking at the pictures I see a few early HEMI's that would be a perfect choice for a 60's theme build. The 440 is great but an early elephant woudl be so much better.

Thanks for the welcome folks, and thanks for the comments on the old Mopar.... The Hemi's in the photo dont belong to me as that photo was taken in the fellers shop that helped me with the chassis, I would love to put an old Hemi in it but I already have a pile of 440s sitting around and being that this is a budget build thats what it has to get.... I actually bought this car as a "parts car" for the 4:10 Dana that was in it as I needed it for a 67 Coronet R/T that I am building but after looking at it sitting out in the yard for a few months and being pushed by a few of my Hotrodder friends I have now put the R/T on the back burner and have decided to do the 35 instead....

    67 R/T SWEET CAR
I have a low milage original unrestored rust free 67 Coronet 500 that I used as my good weather commuter car for a few years. Now its used for pleasure and running errands. The 67 R/T And GTX were the car's I always wanted when I was in high school but had to wait about over 30 years to finally get my Mopar. Sox and Martin, Dick Landy, Bill Flyn and a few others left a heck of an impresion on this young gear head so long ago. Heck theres a 426 waiting to get installed in that little 500 one day.
