I am brand new to HAMB today......have been on Ford Barn for quite a while though. Maybe I fit better over here......have always had hot rods, never a restored one. Got my 1st rod at age 14....'40 Ford opera coupe....put in a full house 296 flat motor, did my own R&P upholstery (on my Mom's machine!), and body & paint work in the driveway.....not a show car by any means....just a poor boy's hot rod. I am a retired engineer and consultant.....currently have a '40 Ford coupe w/ a 327 & Rochester FI, a '35 Ford PU w/ a 425 Nailhead. and most of a '32 Ford roadster w/ a full house 286 flathead....it's in-progress. I do all my own work....welding, machining, engine builds, paint, upholstery...... Hopefully I will be able to contibute to some degree....
Welcome from Maryland. Would love to see more pics of your '40 Coupe as it looks a lot like mine. Enjoy your HAMBtime. I think you will be right at home here......Don.
