Hey everyone- It's looong overdue for me to post an intro....I have lurked on here for ages. I never really thought I really had anything to contribute so I never posted....someone had a question that I wanted to answer so here I am. I work for a large automotive supplier and live a few miles north of Detroit. I have a mild custom '59 Edsel that my wife and I made the trek down the the Lone Star Round Up in a couple years ago and I put about 7000 miles per summer on. I recently picked up a '29 roadster body which I hope to have as a roller by the end of summer. 32 rails/flathead...late 40's style is the direction. I'll probably continue to mostly just watch and learn....
Welcome aboard from Auburn Hills, Michigan. I flat out LOVE your Edsel...have taken several pix of it at Sins of Steel etc. Gorgeous paint, great color choices. See you 'Down The Road' Sire! -Mark
Thanks for all the kind words, everyone! Mark- Great pics! (right click save...make wallpaper) I really enjoyed talking with you at Autorama this year- still mesmerized by that 32 Chrysler concept! I'm sure we'll cross paths at SOS.
Welcome Darren, killer car, I have me you and your wife over the years, cool to see ya on here! see ya at Sins of Steel!
Great looking car. It's unfair to group the '59s in with the homely '58s. They really are handsome cars, and I love the early-'60s custom touches on yours. Welcome! -Dave
'Bout dayum time you introduced yourself and stopped being the perpetual "lurker" Glad you're here, Darren Now for the real question: Are you and the Edsel coming to Round-Up? Hmmm?
Awesome car darren. Have seen it a few times and love that fact that is an edsel. I'm all about hitting up the clem for cruise night.
hey darren,,,,'bout time. i didn't realize you weren't already a member of the HAMB. will you be making the trip to the roundup this year? it was great hanging with you and your wife two years ago @ the roundup...
