I've been lurking this board for about a year or so, bought a 1950 chevy truck about 5 weeks ago so I thought I'd register. Picked the truck up as a father/son project with intentions of it being his in a few years (son is 13). So far we've stripped it down to a cab and frame, today we started what will probably be the most ambitious mod by chopping 4 inches out of the top. Plan to french the headlights, french/custom grill, sbc(327), taking photos as we go will try to post some later.
I hope to contribute where I can.

Welcome to the HAMB. Nice to have another chev truck owner on here.

  3. Welcome from someone somewhat local. Father and son project is best. I owe my dad a lot for his patience and guidance.

    Good luck and welcome!

Welcome to the HAMB, sounds like a cool father/son project.

Thanks for the welcome. Things were going well on the top chop tonight when the regulator on my welder crapped out:mad:. Oh well, pick one up tomorrow and back at it.
