I've been lurking this board for about a year or so, bought a 1950 chevy truck about 5 weeks ago so I thought I'd register. Picked the truck up as a father/son project with intentions of it being his in a few years (son is 13). So far we've stripped it down to a cab and frame, today we started what will probably be the most ambitious mod by chopping 4 inches out of the top. Plan to french the headlights, french/custom grill, sbc(327), taking photos as we go will try to post some later. I hope to contribute where I can.
Welcome from someone somewhat local. Father and son project is best. I owe my dad a lot for his patience and guidance. Good luck and welcome!
Thanks for the welcome. Things were going well on the top chop tonight when the regulator on my welder crapped out. Oh well, pick one up tomorrow and back at it.
