Hey everyone, My name is Dave Lipski. I am a newbie from the Grand Rapids, Michigan area. I've got a '62 Falcon project and a '46 Chevy pickup project. I spent the past summer driving the Falcon to and from work after buying it in the spring, and getting it running and road worthy. Now that winter is here, I want to tackle the interior. I want to do the upholstery myself so any tips would be helpful. Probably going to do tuck and roll seats, door panels, trunk etc., depends how good i get at it.
i had a 62...white red interior 3 on the tree, lost the brakes and smashed over landlord's mailbox... also had a vice for a motor mount. if its a six, good luck on milling that exhaust manifold... All I remember was fun in mine, never gave me any problems really.
yeah its a 144 six. All i did was some carb work and rebuilt the clutch and it was good to go. i took it to the street rod nats this fall and got 28 mpg with it. i will pry run that little six banger till it croaks and put in a 289. maybe gasser i dont know. for now its my gas getter
Going well over here... surprised to see someone who knows del shannon let alone where his home town is!!!
I grew up north of Muskegon. Every time we went to Grand Rapids my mom would mention him as we'd go by Coopersville. I can't hear "Runaway" without thinking about eating in the Arby's at the exit. -Dave
