    Gooday all,i live in Tasmania and am building a 38 ford coupe.I have a restored 48 ford mercury utility,you guys probably havnt seen one.Il load some pics up when i work out how

    Hi Mitch, welcome from the Not so Sunny Gold Coast (today) really like your Merc. As a teenager back in the sixties I always wanted one - never happened - got a 39 Tudor though!

    Cars in Tasmania tend to suffer from the rust worms,heres a pic of my hot rod.Ive never built a rod before,done a couple of mild customs before

    FarQ, all I can say is it's great to see someone with vision! :rolleyes:. I've got a 34 buick chassis and most of the body panels. It was cut thru behind the windscreen to make a 2dr hardtop when I got it. I look at it and think what an awesome street rod this will make. Then the next thought is do I really want to put that amount of effort in. The answers yep, but I just can't find the time. So good luck buddy.:)

    Okay a little about myself,i am a carpenter and joiner by trade but have been panel beating for 30 years ive never done any metal fabrication before.I bought a wheeling machine a few years ago and its been sitting in my shop so i thought i needed a project so armed with some dvds on metal shaping, ill start a build thread called
    38 ford coupe
