Drag racing addict who has been looking at getting something really old for a street cruiser. Current cars are fairly high tech and high powered. Looking at mid 50's Fords, would really like a 56 or 57 hardtop fairlane. Looks like a lot of good info in here.
Got one today. It needs quite a few things, but I dig it. The paint looks fine in this pic but it's horrible in person. It has a 460/4 speed combination but it needs help.....completely stock engine with giant camshaft in it. It runs the way you would think it would, LOL. Love the car though. Plans are as follows: 1. Add seatbelts 2. Slam it on the ground. 3. Replace the Cragars with steel wheels/poverty caps 4. Fix the steering slop 5. Make the 460 run like it should 6. Paint it
