New Evans heads and Flathead crack repair video

    A quick overview of "pinning" cracks and adding deck plugs to a high compression
    Ford flathead V8.

    This isn't a step by step guide but it will give you insight into the crack repair process and some useful knowledge into how its done and why.

    I love Time Serts as well!!! Used them in my bellhousing.

    That's the new owner of Evan's right?

    Yeah sort of, I've know Jaime about 16 years and he's been with Evans all that time.
    Took over the day to day operations probably around '02 as the last owner was slowing down and getting ready to retire.

    1st of all awesome video, it explains a lot of stuff that some guys on here really need to know, it's atleast once a week someone comes on here and asks "i have a cracked flattie what now?" and this will help them. Second to see evans heads repoped is f'ing B.A.!!! Thanks a lot!!

    I didn't know it was such a popular topic, so glad we choose something that might be able to answer some questions for the guys here.

    They've been available for a couple of years now, but it is pretty much word of mouth. They are a little pricey, but seriously it is about time.

    I saw a small ad for New Ford Flat head blocks sometime back in Rodders Journal. Then I saw some talk of development here , then NUTHIN, NADA................
