New England Swap Meets - which ones are good?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by BOSTONCAMARO, Oct 21, 2013.

  1. Ok, so we all know Stafford has seem to go down hill, Thompson as well though I think is still a bit better.

Where are good meets in the New England area?

Any meets where they actually restrict the types of vendors that come in, as in hey you are selling all types of dirt bikes and not car stuff so you cant come in to sell.

    I appreciate the input.

    Thanks, Tim

The internet has taken its toll on all swap meets. Try Amherst, NH. It seems to have held up better than the others, although, it too, isn't what it used to be. The last one of the year is this coming Sunday & it's usually mobbed. Rte. 122, Amherst, NH.

Betweeen the two, I find more at Thompson than Stafford Springs, and Lake Compounce beats them both.

What is the best time to arrive at Thompson?

At Amherst, you have to get there early, many vendors start to pack around 10:00.

I've always heard good things about Amherst, but never been able to get there, maybe 2014 will be the year. Wonder if I'll take a load of junk to Lake Compounce or just walk through as in past years. Bob

Thompson was a waste for me today, I did not find anything.
I do better at Amherst.... unfortunately I have to wait until April 27th.

I am going to try Lee Speedway next week. I am only a 20 minutes away so I have nothing to loose.

The best ones are those that you find something your looking for at.
