  10. Awesome pics! Made a lot of passes down that track on two wheels. Guys like Jack Doyle, Don Roberts were the best!

My father raced at new England for a few years in the 70s I believe. At the house he has some pictures along with some of his old time slips. This weekend I will see if we can dig them out.

Jim Bowen is my dad. I remember these days like it was yesterday!!! I spent every summer on the road till I was 16, Columbus, Sanair, Indy, Englishtown, etc. Was a childhood! Thanks for the pic!!

Hi Ray. Russ Cummings bought the car, restored as close to possible as it was built, and and eventually sold it. He did a great job on it. Last I heard it sold at an RM aution for a lot of money ( a lot more than Russ sold it for).

my dads 35 ford roadster was raced at Sanford in 1960 -61 . dark green ,,,. Joe Fennessey was the owner / driver sadly he passed away 6 monthes ago .He ran a packard motor in it, couldn,t be beat at Sanford or NEDW . .My dad chased him for years to buy the car and got it in 62 , still owns it to this day . I met Joe at my dads Farm about 30 years ago . he still had the twinkle in his eye as he ran his hands over the back fender . he had some good stories (at the time I didn,t know what "pecker tracks" were )I saw Bill Evans (Holbrook ,Mass)race at NEDW. in the 70s and followed him down to the Gator Nationals .On one race he lost it and hit a pole ,,cut the car in half ,right behind the drivers seat . he never raced again . my dad (his best friend since 3rd grade} bought the front half of the car /motor FOR 100 BUCKS !. it is still sittin in the barn .IF anybody has a photo I would love to see it and show it to my dad carl peterson . I showed him the photo of walts sunoco car today ....good memories :) mp
