I've been lurking the boards anonymously for a bit and decided to join. Just picked up a '55 International R-110 cornbinder. Gonna be putting in some time on that bad girl and I'd like to share my build and get some advice and knowledge from all you fine folks. Been on the Jockey journal for a couple of years. I've worked on and built bikes before but this is my first car project. My name is Tyler. See you around.

Welcome. Hey! I know that truck. I believe I saw it on Cty W just outside Burlington....right? I checked it out and it seemed pretty solid. Great truck to start with. Keep us posted (with pictures) when you can.

Yep, got it from Burlington. Had some title issues but I got that cleared up. It is pretty solid. Has new wiring that is almost complete and 12V. The harness is a kit. Some mud in the cab corners and rusted through on the front of the cab behind the fenders. Going to have to patch in some new sheet metal. The 6 runs according to the previous owner. But there are no fuel lines, the tank has a leak and the brake lines are shot. I have not played with the engine at all. I'm sure I could give it some CPR and fire it up.

As far as having it running this summer, I don't think so. Initially I thought to get the 6 up an running, lower it and love it for the summer. But I decided to just stick my time and effort into the long term. Going to be a frame up resto / rod. Keeping it "simple" :D.

I'm getting out of bikes as I've had some close calls lately. I told myself that i'd leave the bikes alone if I could find a cool project that I could build and ride around with the lady then it would be worth it. So I have to make the truck "worth it". We'll see.
