So the guy who let me use his shop is computer illiterate and managed to loose all the pics I took of the build. I started putting this together in early December and I have given up on him so I'll just post what I've got. I started with a set of Dearborne Deuce rails and built a jig out of rectangular tubing. The boxing is stepped 1/4", the tubing is 1 1/2" DOM .120" wall. I have alot more to do (mirror the upper supports on the bottom, put in the front driveshaft loop, finish the rear suspension, etc.) but you get the idea. This is going to go under my '31 A Tudor that I want to take to Bonnville. I don't want to set a record or anything, just see what it'll do. I've mostly finished chopping the top, 5" in the front and 4" in the rear. I'll post pics of that later in the week. Ford 9" rear end set up for big axles, fabricated 4-link, Pete and Jake's Viper hairpins and batwings, Deuce Factory stainless steering arms, spring perches, shackels, and u-bolts, chrome reverse eye spring, a 4" drop axle from Chassis Engineering, NOS '40 Ford spindles. The last pic is what I'm starting with, the nicest, most unmolested, uncut Model A Tudor I've ever seen. Who needs a parade car anyway?
Let's see here... in order: Thanks, sucka Thanks, I hope so, I already sold it, I'll pm you, Wilcap, but the tranny is just bolted to the block for mock-up, and Thanks.
