Just picked up a 1960 Bel Air Sedan. Clean car with very little rot on it. Thinking of painting it Red oxcide for the main body and white for the roof and a side scallop. You all think that that would look good. I can see it in my mind but and it looks good, but want a second opinion. Thanks, will post a pic soon
Paint it that blue color with the white top. But I'd say no to the scallop. I don't know how it would look on threat car. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Cool ride with lots of potential. is paint the only thing it needs? forget the red oxide. put some color to it.
Well that didn't take long. Opinions as promised: First of all, it looks real straight and solid...that's great. I think one of the best things you can do for a 4dr, is to keep it stock looking. To me, they just don't look right when you hot rod or cusomize 'em. Much better to find some original wheels and some nice wheel covers, maybe some narrow whitewalls, keep it stock height, and eventually paint it in non-metallic...and maybe the white top if you like. Clean up the interior as best you can, get some decent seat covers if needed, etc etc. But before any of that, fix all the mechanicals. Keep the exhaust quiet. Congrats. Have fun.
