I am making grills for 1937 Buicks out of stainless steel. The stock grills are made of pot metal and are extremely hard to find in decent, usable condition. Most are broke into multiple pieces and the chrome plating is peeling and pitted. These grill will not rust and are more durable than the stock grill. Even if you can find a decent grill it will be cost $100-200 and then you'll spend another $1000 having it repaired and replated then it might break again once it's mounted in the car. If these grills are damaged they can be welded bake together back together for a lot less than the pot metal grills.
