well, we picked up a 32 ford today. I knew of this car for probably 4 years now, but in that time i thought it was a fully restored model A that i had no interest in. It has been sittin in a driveway front in off a busy street, surprised nobody else got it before we did. So one day me and my brother decided to take a close look at it one day, and we got to the front and HOLY SHIT ITS A 32!!! Took me about a week to track the owner down. Turned out he owned the car since he was 18, the guy is in his 50s so not original owner by far. So we struck a deal and now a proud owner of a 32 ford.

we are prolly going to be more like a 40's style rod with no body mods but with steelies and maybe some 4 cylinder speed equipment.

NICE FIND! That should be on the road in no time. Have fun with it!

  12. ...& people say they just aren't out there anymore.

Someone needs to keep track of all the '32's that are "found" & bought by HAMB'ers in one year's time.

I bet you stop to check on every "Model A" you ever see from this point forward. It's a thousand wonders that car sat that long in plain view.

    You got lucky. Congratulations.

For decades you could see a 32 Fordor parked in a driveway off I-45 South coming in to downtown Houston. The car finally disappeared, I don't know who ended up with it. It sure wasn't as good as the one you captured though.

There are still plenty of garaged cars that have yet to be uncovered beneath the piles of pasteboard boxes and old throw rugs and newspapers where they live.

It's a B, far rarer than a V8 model. Personally I think the 2 door sedan is the coolest of all off those cars. It would be a tough decision to decide whether to chop it or not, or do drastic body mods.

    Congrats, you scored big time.

  20. Good to hear!!! :) It'll be a welcome contrast to all the hyper-channeled z-framed stuff runnin' around. Nice to see the old girl getting some respect for the great condition she's in.

Awesome score! Just curious, what town in NJ did you find that gem.

There are a few things in life I can always find : guitars, cigars, bars, and cars... That beauty slip my mitts.

Really cool car, can't wait to see it on the road.

That's so funny, I've done that, years ago when it was all fresh and new, man how I miss that.
