Was there any recognition of his involvement with Ford as an authorized engine rebuilder? Had an old friend that worked in Ford dealers from the 30 ' s to the 50's. He used to tell me that he always sought out Meyer rebuilds because they were light years better than others Ford supplied. Only the SoCal dealers were able to get them from what he told me.

I think you are thinking of Eddie's brother Lou, who was partners in a Ford Authorized engine rebuilding shop with Lew Welch. Henry Ford himself set them up with it, after Lou Meyer's last Indy run.
