Make about an hour trip to Lamoille, Il. Home of Bennets upholstery, this guy is reasonable, is a small one man shop, and he does killer work. Everyone around here uses him, puts everything he has into these interiors, he loves doing it. http://www.bennettsupholstery.com/ Check hime out.

  12. What kind of quotes have folks gotten? I've gotten over the phone quotes of $5-6K for a few folks, and one place was more like $10K the place on Ogden that was redoing Maybelline.

  13. Mike and John are both great upholsterers and I would not hesitate using either one. The cost of a completed job is variable on so many different issues . All leather , all vinyl, combination of the two, patterns, design, are new backing panels needed , ect.

The cost is really built on time and materials. How much time do you want to spend ?

Ha Ha Ha, that Mike burned my retinas at the pile up, my wife loved his head gear, I think he used magnets to hold his wings on.

Here are the seats OldCarMike did for my Econoline. Fast, good price, and good communication. HIGH quality work. He's in Aurora. His number is 630-248-6217

Prices, kinda depends, but for my 32 sedan, leather trim seats and panels, assuming you supply the seats seems to be around $8000 to 8500 for a real nice job.Met a retired guy in Toledo this summer at GGs who did all his buddies 32s, and hes at $6000 for leather.Superb work, one man shop. I had a car done by Paul Atkins almost ten years ago, a 33 three window and that was $8000 then. Again, superb work. What am I doing this time, most of it myself with Oldcarmike doing the seats and maybe the headliner. What I do know is if you want a really nice job, the high end local guys are the same price, if not more than the big name guys like Atkins, Steve Pearson, etc and when you go to sell the car those names add value. If I would have known this years ago, I would have learned how to sew instead of weld!

Oh yeah, I'd HIGHLY recommend oldcarmike for all your upholstery needs. :D
