thanks I have owned it 7years know it was just a rusty shell when I got it but was already chopped. A friend said he had it chopped years ago in California. Then he brought it florida to die, took me a while to finally accuire it and have been trying to make a real car out of it ever since.
    thanks again

Does it have to be from a shoebox?
Just get any suitable front bench and modify it so that it fits...
It´s still just a metal frame and upholstery.

No it doesnt have to be,just wondering what to look for.Shoeboxes are narrower cars than most same era cars.I dont mean that it have to be from 50's,but sixties or something...

Okay so these are my first seats so overlook the imperfections, but the white one is from a 53 chevy and the black ones are from a 64 caddy

Take a look at the seat from a '57 - '58 Ford two door. It is slimmer and lower than the stock shoebox front seat. It opens up the interior, allows a lower seating position and still looks "period correct". I don't know about the width, but I've seen this swap before so I'd guess it's doable without major mods.
