I'm wanting to get a different look with tail lights on a '54 Chevy 3100. I thought about tunneled '54 Buick Tail Lights. What else have you guys done or seen? Seen quite a few with '59 Caddy lights. I'm aiming for a 1954-1955 mild built custom. Like something small and round that will flow with the fender contour. I feel the original exterior mounted lights are too drab.
Buick lights should do it. Or......... Do a search in the HAMB classified to see what's out there. While I'm typing, I remember seeing some Olds lights recently. They have a nice oval shape, might still be there. Good Luck, Carp.
Probably OT , but they used to mount VW bug taillight housings on those trucks. Sent from my LG-TP450 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
41-48 Chevy and Ford will work and easy to find. More on that other auction sight. Look on the custom section here, probably some great ideas with minimal work.
For a wrap around light, look at 49-50 Mercury taillights. It used to be a big thing on 53-56 F100s. Seems to be forgotten. Be the only one in your neighborhood!
Don't forget, you can paint parking light lenses red and put them on the back as well. If you're sinking them into the fender, how about 60-62 Comet taillights?
