I have done a search with no results. Looking for a build thread or pics of a grille/ front end similar to the pic posted. Thanks<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

2. Wow that is one custom grille assembly. Don't know if you'll find a build thread on that one.

Belongs to Mercdeuceman (John) here on the HAMB, built by Tom Culberson of Indy (Road Rockets). Those guys should be able to provide all the info you need.

7. I've got tons of pics, but never have figured out how to post em.
Phase one 2005:
The grille started life as 9 pieces of a Chrysler 318 header. A shroud was wheeled out then to cover the radiator.
The insert is 1958 Ford.

Phase two 2006:
The front needed a facelift.
Located the first 18" of a pair of 60 Buick front fenders.
If you look really hard, you can see the headlight assemblies are turned 90 degrees.
It was necessary to section and pie cut them to cut down on the bulkiness. Extensions were added at the bottoms to create a pair of fins that extended downward to house the clear lexan rods which are both the parking lights and turn signals.
To finish the Olds Rocket and George Jetson theme, the back of the grille assembly is capped off with a pair of old 36 Dodge headlight buckets, stainless perifrated grilles and sunken antennas.
The grille insert has a host of dresser drawer knobs as would have been done back in the day.

The entire grille is 100% steel, as is the rest of the car.
