Ok, I'm at work and trying to get some bearings ordered so I can pick them up on the way home from our local bearing sales place.

Anyone have the numbers for bearings and races inner and outer for a 40 ford handy? Local guy's books don't go back far enough. Need the Timkin number. Thanks.

The numbers for that funky keyed washer and castle nut would be handy too.

I assume you need the front so here you go: front inner bearing 15118 race 15250X. Outer bearing 09074 race 09196.

Thanks, They have them in stock. Don't suppose you'd have the seal number?

    Duh!

The only seal number I can find is 48-1190. It says 2.68" OD. I think it may be a Ford number, but I don't know for sure. I can't find a Chicago Rawhide or National Seal interchange on that number. My National Seal book does not show a number for the seal when I look it up by application. I do know that 1935 to 1948 is the same seal.

For anyone who's writing these numbers down for future reference, the number on the front bearing seal that was on my brakes is National 5796. I think these numbers pretty much work on anything Ford from 35-48. Parts guy's at lunch so I'll find out later if he has the seals in stock. Nice to not have to pay shipping for a change.
