History Need some help with car i just acquired.

Discussion in 'Traditional Customs' started by Javier Garcia, Dec 12, 2020.

  1. Just asked a buddy and we are starting to remember more. Seems like the owner was in the military and maybe stationed at Tinker Air Force base at the time. More to come if we can come up with a name...

  2. Stolen from the link from @carolina chevrolet above, this is the location I saw the car at most often which was a biker bar down on 63rd near Broadway Extension in OKC that several of the local traditional car guys hung out at around 15 or so years ago.

It was Rod Stewart. “Every Picture Tells a Story” released in 1971.:D

That's a really great looking car. Regardless of where it came from, it's looking damn good where it is now. Congrats and have fun.

Any plans for it or just drive it?

Plans for now are just to enjoy it and cruise it. After I finish up a buddy's project I will be giving it a little face-lift.

It rides great. Has full airride, once its at ride height, no shake or bounce while I drive.

Can't wait to see its new color. Will be giving it a complete makeover.

You can check out the Road Devils site on the Internet Wayback Machine. Most of the snapshots are broken until 2006 but after that there are a lot of intact ones with photos. I looked through a few snapshots but didn't see your car in any of their photo galleries. Looks like the site dropped off the map some time between 2017 and 2019, as the last snapshot is a 404 page.

By poking around the snapshots, you might have better luck than I did. The 'photos' page was archived 54 times but it looked to me like it didn't change that often.

They also had an apparently pretty active forum, but I don't think the archive ever grabbed anything but the index page.
