I`m working on a mid 20`s chevy steering box for a gowjob project, and it has bronze bushings above and below the screw. The shaft is 3/4" and the housing is very close to 7/8" inner diameter. My thought is that this should be a size that is used on alot of other stuff like kingpins etc. I need advice from all the gearheads on here to find something i can use. Do you have somthing lying around that you can measure. Preferably something easy to find. Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks.

Looks like you are already hooked up...I was going to suggest turning down a manual transmission pilot bearing. I think 3/4 ID is pretty common.
As far as 3/4" i.d. and 7/8" o.d bronze bushings go, just head down to an Ace hardware store - most of them have them in their container stock. Ace is always an overlooked asset to builders, even in small towns with almost no industrial supply I always seem to find what I need if they have an Ace.
