I bought a rusty 32 tudor body last year. It has been media blasted, so all the swiss cheese is out in the open. The primary areas for concern is the roof, where no pre made patch panels are available. I would like to see a few pics of the area above the windshield frame, and the area above the door openings so I can start figuring out how to make the patch panels. It appears, in both areas, that there is a flange that comes down. Mine is mostly missing, so I don't know where to stop patching. Above the windshield frame, mine is whole in the area where the wiper holes are, then it bends 90* back and appears to turn down, that is where mine is mostly missing. In the area above the doors it is about the same. There is a fair bit of rust under the spot where the gutters were welded, but mostly whole, it is mostly the are that the door closes onto that is missing.
I have considered buying a 32 5W roof section from UPAC, but don't want to if I don't have to, and am not sure if I could use the area above the doors or not.
Anybody have some pictures of those areas?

    Much appreciated,

If I read your post correctly, the flange does go inwards and then another 90 down. That last down strip is where the W/S frame lays against. If that is what's gone, you can fab it with cutting a strip of metal in that slight curve, or use a shrinker/stretcher tool to make a long straight strip fit the curve.

not sure if I saved a pic, but I will look later

I saved a 2 door side pic of a shell without doors, but don't know if the upper door opening is shown

  4. If you check out my 32 Lakester Chop thread, there are lots of pics that I'm sure would give you the info you are looking for. I could get something more specific on the weekend if known one else chimes in.

here is a poor pic of a hacked up 5w, without a roof.

They welded a plate to fill in the pocket for each winshield hinge...but you can see how the flange hanging down, is supported by the inner piece shown on the 4 door in post 5.

sorry, the pic I saved of a 2 door side view has the doors still on. So it won't help the side problem.

Gettin closer! What I need to know is how the body ends in the windshield opening, and in the door opening. I just cant seem to find pictures of that. So the area underneath where the windshield frame is at the top, and the area around the top of the door opening where the windlace would be.

    Thanks,

If you take pictures of yours showing what is missing might help us determine what you need to see.

Perfect on the windshield opening. Thanks!
My 32 door opening is a little different, but that is the exact area.
