hello everyone i have been trying to figure out what the motor is thats in my 1951 Chevy two door deluxe. According to what Ive read its a 52 motor in a 51. the casting numbers are KBA500257 R325 in front of the fuel filter it looks like it says either OM with a slanted x above it or Gm with a slanted x above it. The valve covers are held down from the top.
If anybody can tell the year and size of the motor i would appreciate it.

    thanks

K is 1952. I don't recognize the rest of the numbers, maybe you read them wrong or maybe they are not what I expect?

Does the side cover to all the way up to the valve cover, or does it just go up to the bottom of the cylinder head?

What is the number sequence that's stamped (not cast) on the machined pad at the base of the distributor?

Is there a cast number sequence like B 15 2 on the side of the block? or on the head, maybe under the valve cover?
