Need info on 31 Model A cowl trim install

I did a search and couldn't find the info I need on cowl trim for a model A. I am adding the trim and need to know the hole length and location from the tank line down to the top of slot and to bottom of slot.
And I also need info on cowl lacing install too. Can I just screw it down all the way or should I try the kit supplied ? Thanks!
