Need ideas 40 ford rolling side to side at 70

    That might make a steering issue, but likely not a body roll issue, unless the steering issue is severe enough that correcting it by counter-steering causes the body to pitch.

    I wonder how low the car is.
    My 39 has 205/70/15 tires and has stock spindles.
    If you measure to the top of the wheel well mine measures 26"
    40 maybe the same close anyway.
    My flathead pan only about 4" from ground.

    Car is 30 miles away so pictures will have to wait.No shake or movement in steering wheel.

    I did not read all the replies but if the tire pressure is too low the car can wander all over the road. The first step in an alignment is to set the air pressure in the tires. You would be surprised at the number of wandering cars have been "fixed" just by inflating the tires to specs

    Very light springs in the rear? You may need a panhard bar to keep the rear centered.

    Parallel leaf in the rear ,we have a sway bar we will be putting on the front.

    Finally got down to work on the car,owner found a 1" frt sway bar.I don't know what brand it is.He installed it and we took it for a test drive and the car is wonderful.Thanks for all who posted.

    Does the lower control arms have the strut rods installed? By putting a sway bar on without strut rods it would seem to fix the problem ,but only mask it.
