I am building a 34 pickup and wanted one of those cylinder gas tanks in the bed. I wanted info on which one is best, decent prices, and where to get them. Just need some tips, best quality per price.
Call Michael at the Hot Rod Company. He is an Alliance Vendor & can hook you up with just about any kind of tank. http://www.thehotrodcompany.com/shopnow/show_dept.asp?dept_id=78 He sold me an XL Model T Tank a couple of weeks ago. JH
I've got two old ones in the classifieds if yer interested.... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=404692
You would be money ahead to go with a new tank and I think HRC will sell you the correct sending unit along with the tank. I've been looking at those for one of my projects and the price is pretty fair.
glenn33 Thanks for the offer but I am looking for a new above bed one. I will looking into the HRC a little more. Thanks.
I stole this from a thread but I am looking for something more clean like this. Lots of 32-34 pickups have them I just can't seem to find out who sells them. I like the Hot Rod Companies ones but one like that looks a little cleaner. Any help?
That looks like either a polished stainless or aluminum tank. Not hard to find.... http://www.thehotrodcompany.com/shopnow/show_item.asp?product_id=91076256 http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Spun-Aluminum-Fuel-Tanks,2530.html http://www.pacificcustoms.com/round_stainless_steel_gas_tanks.html http://www.pacificcustoms.com/round_spun_aluminum_gas_tanks.html http://www.chircoestore.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=236_338_342 http://www.jcwhitney.com/aluminum-gas-tank/p2022575.jcwx Remember though, those usually don't have a sending unit (or provisions for one) in them...
