I have this old after market turn signal switch I found I was wondering if anyone knew how to wire it up I'd like to use it in my hudson if I can.
Best bet might be to take it apart and see what the circuits do inside, then wire it based on the diagrams posted above.
This has been disgusted many times. Here for instance; http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/how-to-add-turn-signals-to-old-car.866756/#post-9578071
the 5 wire unfortunately does not work with or through the brake light switch. So while you can change pig tails in the front running lights to dual element and run signals and parking lamps, in the rear you will need to fit auxiliary lights as your rear lamps already have dual element bulbs. I made some brackets and mounted motorcycle stalk lights for my rear signals. The lights came from a used box at an MC repair shop. I am still running 6v so I swapped to appropriate candle power single element 6v bulbs.
Thanks for the help I should be able to take it apart and figure this out with the help of these similar diagrams
