Technical Need help wiring 59 dodge generator

Need to find out which stud on my generator goes to the field side and armature side on the voltage regulator. The generator is 12 volt .

 

Help!

 

Not sure how much you'd want to trust a old Chiltons diagram but it's all I've got for you.

 

I was gonna say 'the big stud on the gen is always the Arm', but looks like both yours are the same size so I don't know. I have a 12v Ply gen at the shop and will look later today to see if I can tell somehow.
