I'm researching info for a AG/D restoration and I can't id this coil. Any help would be great. It's a 426 wedge and this picture is from the march meet Bakersfield '65, car was built during 1964. It has a Mallory Mag. Bracket was fabbed by the builder.

  2. Interesting - It looks like an E-Core style coil in that picture, but they didn't exist in 1965

When did the mallory black box coil come out? it is the same coil, but in a phenolic housing, eh?

  4. That's the same thing I thought when I first saw the picture, but it's definitely 1965

  5. Looked at my '65 Mallory catalog, nothing looks close. The red is throwing me for a loop. The original builder is no longer with us and I'm not having much luck finding someone else that was involved with the car at that time. Was changed a lot by the next owners. It went from a 480" wedge stroker to a blown sbc.

  7. Been a really long time and I'm still looking for this coil. I believe it might be Mallory # 26061A. NOS would be a bonus, also looking for a MOON hydraulic throttle assembly again NOS would be awesome but will consider all so any info or verification is appreciated 20190224_135712.jpg 20190224_135740.jpg
