I'd have to guess that it's a Carter WCD. Or maybe that's too obvious?

    :)

probably early 50s Buick, seeing as it has the vacuum switch to start the engine.

Vacuum switch? It is mechanical. How would you have vacuum at the switch with the throttle held wide open to activate the switch when it isn't running.

the starter switch on those things is pretty neat, the way it works is you floor the throttle when it's not running, and the starter engages. When the engine starts, vacuum pulls something and disables the switch. but it's been 26 years since I worked on a 53 buick so I don't remember the details.

Took ESP-101 in college, and dropped the crystal ball; but based on the pictures and no other information: 1951~1954 Buick. Cannot be more specific with the info presented. Several possible specific carbs in this group.

Packard is a good guess because of the starter switch, but Packard used WD-0 and WGD Carters, whereas Buick used the WCD carbs.

  9. Thanks for the lesson guys. This was one of a handful of rebuilt parts I bought along with a bunch of flathead Ford items. I just needed a couple of vehicle applications it was used on in case it gets listed for sale. Appreciate the feedback!
