I'm trying to buy a part from Shrewsbury MA, they will sell it but not ship it. I am looking for some one to pick it up and drop it off at a upack, or ups shipping store where they will pack and ship for me. I will pay you for you time. I have only seen this part for sale twice. It is a bigger part but not that heavy, its about 4 ft diameter, and weighs about 30 pounds. If there is anyone that can do this please pm me, they are holding it for a couple of days for me. If anyone knows of a service that will pick it up and do the same thing, I would be interested.

    Thanks Tony

Ron, got this picked up for me, and I thank him for that. I didnt think this would work out because of the size of it. Now just waiting to put my hands on it, very excited. Thanks to the power of the H.A.M.B.

Inquiring minds want to know. All the big flat boxes at the furniture store are probably going to be wet too. I've shipped a lot of big items in boxes raided from a furniture store cardboard box bin and have had them save me one once or twice.

About four feet you say...? A full size Ram hood ornament perhaps?

Here's an option. I learned this from a pal.

He uses Uber and Lift as a courier. He coordinates with both parties, in your case the seller and the company who will pack the item.

Not a bad idea but I think Haropo 1313 has it safely under control. Now he just has to come up with something the right size to ship it in. That can be a real challenge at times. From what I figured out this week even smaller odd shape things are hard to find boxes to stick them in.

Hmmm.... what does the HAMB spidey sense think this is? Possibilities that I've come up with:
    • a very large air cleaner
    • roof skin?
    • a space-sav-r spare for a horse-drawn wagon... :D
What else might fit the description? First correct answer (@mcmopar you'll have to confirm for us) wins bragging rights for the weekend!

Ya, I was thinking 4 foot diameter, so must be round? So had me thinking a cool sign, but the word “part” is used.
@mcmopar answer soon please, I’ve not much hair left and am scratching it all off! :)

Moderators, please remove this post if not appropriate. I would rather have this post removed than the thread closed. This thread shows that there are people out there that is willing to help a stranger, for no reason. This is a good community of people. This is a large double sided lighted sign and to have someone tell me they are going to package it themselves so it wont get broke is a very generous thing to do. I see threads about this kind if thing, and they don't always turn out. This goes to show the character of people we have here on the HAMB.

Ron my hat goes off to ya, and I've said it before and I will say it again Thanks

I am back asking for more help. Ron has this picked up and boxed for me, but he said that they want anywhere from $1400 to $2200 to ship. It seems high to me since i just shipped a transmission from WI to TX for $200, but that don't matter now. Ron has it packed in a box that measures 48" x48" x 13", and weighs 60 pounds. What i Am looking for now is if we can get a HAMB relay to get it to me. I know its big and most people dont have a way to hall it, but with the holidays and everyone traveling, I thought lets try this. If you are willing to give a hand let me know, and get you in touch with Ron. Thanks To everyone that can help.

    Tony
