Ok, I've got myself in a bit of a bind and I need some help. I had to swap out my 350 in my truck because it was bad. I put in a 350 TBI and now my new power steering pump is way too close to the steering box. If I had a smaller pulley it would be fine. So now to my question:

Does someone make a smaller power steering pump pulley? Or could I perhaps use one from an alternator? Obviously this will change my RPM speed by a lot at the pump. Could it handle it?

You might look on some GM front wheel drive cars. I don't remember how big the power steering pulleys were on the two mid 80 Cad Devilles I had but I think that they were smaller than the normal Chevy pulley. I'd go to the local serve your self junk yard and start looking under hoods.

  3. Just pull the drives and brackets off the old motor. You don't need a serpentine belt for any good reason do you?

    All 350s are the same.

@porknbeaner: I thought about that, but my "new" engine has more accessories than my last engine did. And I know it's dumb, but I do like the look of a serpentine belt.
