My buddy Manny has his 1963 Belvedere (Max wedge clone) in the bodyshop getting the paint done and they need the extact measurements of the max wedge hoodscoop relative to the hood. Would it be 1 1/2" from the back of the hood? Anyone know? Thanks!
Mine has about a 1/2 inch flange around the scoop and the flange runs straight across the back. The edge of the flange is about 3/8 of an inch forward of the rear edge of the hood in the center. Don't know if it's where the factory put them, it's just where it got installed. Without the flange the way the center of the rear of the scoop joggles it would be about 2 inches.
